Volunteers for Children’s Playschemes (Chesterfield, Bolsover, North East, High Peak, Derbyshire Dales)
Children’s Playschemes run during the School Holidays (5-12 years) across various locations in North Derbyshire and at the Fairplay Centre in Chesterfield. Volunteers help with a wide range of activities including arts and crafts, cooking, sports, indoor and outdoor play and trips out.
Under 5’s Parent Support Group –Term Time only – At the Fairplay Centre, Chesterfield
A warm, open and friendly environment for parents and carers who have a child under with a disability or a child under 5 whose sibling has a disability.
Volunteers assist staff in providing fun and stimulating activities to meet the individual needs of the children with a sensory room to develop and stimulate children’s senses.
Youth Groups (Chesterfield, Bolsover, High Peak and Derbyshire Dales)
Fairplay provides a safe, supportive, environment for young people aged 13-25 years to socialise and develop independence and life skills, whilst enjoying various activities.
Volunteers help staff with a wide range of activities including arts and crafts, cooking, sports, indoor and outdoor themed activities and trips out. Services include:
● Regular Youth Clubs in term time
● Activity days during school holidays
● Girls’ Night (for ages 13-23) -
● Express Yourself Arts Group (for ages 13-23)
● Saturday “Be Healthy” and Saturday “Be Active” Group (for ages 14-23)
Independent Living Group
A group for young people from 15-25 years to develop skills to live independently running Monday to Friday in term time and holidays 10am – 4pm.
Volunteers help with a wide range of activities including arts and crafts, cooking, sports, indoor and outdoor activities and trips out. Based at the Fairplay Centre and Fairview House.
Volunteers help at our fundraising events throughout the year, from making a cup of tea, selling merchandise to helping out at a sponsored walk.
Volunteers can also organise fundraising activities, marshall at fundraising events, help with publicity and on fundraising stalls.
